Meeting of Joint Project in the Se San, Se Kong and Srepok (3S) Sub-Basins of the Mekong River

Hanoi, Viet Nam: On 17 August 2023, Excellency Pich Dun, Advisor of Cambodia National Mekong Committee(CNMC), led of Cambodia team from MOWRAM and some official from CNMCS, attended the meeting of Joint Project in the Se San, Se Kong and Srepok (3S) Sub-Basins of the Mekong River, with participants from  members countries (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam) and staff of MRCS GIZ ICEM and International Consultant, a total of 23 persons (4 females). The objectives of the meeting are to (1) oofficially announce GIZ support to the 3S joint project; (2) present, discuss  and agree on the 3S implementation arrangement, including the ToRs of the SC, NWG and NCs to support the 3S joint project at national Level; and (3) discuss about the operational plan, timing, study trips, and next steps....

Mekong-Lancang Special Fund Project between the Cambodia National Mekong Committee with the Changjiang River Water Resources Commission of the People's Republic of China

Phnom Penh: on August 11, 2023, Working Group of CNMC General Secretariat led by H.E Hak Socheat, Deputy Secretary General, met with the Water Resources Expert Group of the ChangJiang River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI), Changjiang River Water Resources Commission of China, led by Mr. Zeng Xiang, Department Chief Engineer of CRSRI. The four experts team also inspected the project site of two water purification equipment provided by the Changchiang River Research Institute in Ang Sleng pagoda in Sleng village, Chrey Las commune. The meeting discussed on the implementation of the demonstration project activities on rural dringking water supply in the community of Sleng village in Chrey Las commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province as well as discussed on the continued cooperation and future support under the Mekong-Lancang Special Fund Project between the Cambodia National Mekong Committee with the Changjiang River Water Resources Commission of the People's Republic...

55th Meetining of the MRC Joint Committee

Da Nang City, On May 18, 2023, Excellency So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) and Member of the MRC Joint Committee (MRC JC), for Cambodia, accompanied by a group of Cambodia officials from relevant Ministries and the CNMC General Secretariat, attended the 55th Meeting of the MRC Joint Committee in Viet Nam. The Meeting was attended by the MRC JC delegates from all the Member countries Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam and working teams of the MRC Secretariat, a total of 45 delegate.
