H.E So Sophort, Secretary General of ​Cambodia National Mekong Committee ​chaired and lead the national consultation meeting on the first draft detailed Methodologies for regional studies on (1)- Economic Value of Wetland Ecosystem Services, (2)- The Extent of Salinity Intrusion in the Mekong Delta, and (3)- The Condition of Riverine, Estuarine and Coastal Habitats and with the participation from relevant line agencies such as Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Public Work and Transport, Fishery Administration, Tonle Sap Authority Cambodia National Mekong Committee and International consultant.

The objectives of meeting are:

• Discuss and reach agreement on the first draft detailed methodologies for three regional studies for preparation of SOBR 2023 and SOBR 2028:

1. Economic value of wetland ecosystem services (EVW)

2. The extent of salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta (SIM), and

3. Condition of riverine, estuarine, and coastal habitats (RECH).

• Present and reach agreement on the next steps.
