Kampong Cham: The Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) held a National Consultation Meeting on the Revision and Update of the Mekong River Commission (MRC) Operational Manuals, chaired by His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent -Vice Chairman of CNMC through direct participation of the Key staff of the General Secretariat of the CNMC and relevant officials from the relevant ministries and institutions and with the Administration Division Working Group of MRC Secretariat via Video conference.

The objectives of the meeting was to inform and discuss the sections and key points that need to be revised and updated on the MRC Operations Manuals, including the Financial Management, Procurement, Administration and Human Resource Management Manual, in accordance with the recommendations of the EU Development Partners (EU Pillar Assessments 7, 8, 9) and based on the lessons learns that MRCS has captured through  its implementation of the relevant legal documents and rule of procedures of the MRC.

The results (comments) from this meeting are the input for the 39th of MRC Joint Committee Task Force Meeting and submission for the approval at the 53rd Meeting of the MRC Joint Committee to be held at the end of April 2022.
