Phnom Penh: H.E Hak Socheat, ​Deputy ​Secretary General of the ​Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) , led a Cambodian working group representing relevant ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.  The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and the CNMC General Secretariat participated in the Regional Consultation Meeting on the preparation of the MRC Multi-Year  Work Plan for 2023-2024 of the MRC Strategic Plan 2021-2025.

The meeting was organized by the MRC Secretariat, chaired by Dr. Anoulak Kittikhoun, Chief Executive Officer of MRCS, and attended by relevant working group officials from Cambodia, Lao PDR , Thailand and Vietnam, representatives of Development Partners and Key staff of MRCS.

The objectives of this meeting are to review and discuss on the draft Multi-Year Work Plan for 2023-2024, focusing on the action plan (activities and tasks) and budget for 2023 and 2024 proposed by the five Divisions/Office of the MRC Secretariat for implementation at the regional level and national level after getting inputs/comments from national consultative meetings and comments/ recommendation from Development Partners.
