Regional Meeting on the Progress of the Concept of Developing a Groundwater Model (October 27, 2022)

Phnom Penh: The Mekong River Commission held a regional meeting on the progress of the concept of developing a groundwater model with the participation of representatives of the four member countries, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, international experts and officials of the Secretariat of the Mekong River Commission. The Cambodian representatives included HE Hak Socheat, Deputy Secretary General and officers of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee Secretariat.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the progress made by the national and international consultants on the Conceptual Groundwater Model Development for the two Transboundary Aquifers in the Lower Mekong River Basin, to exchange knowledges and experiences on the groundwater usage and status in four members countries, and to discuss the next steps on improving the Conceptual Model.
