2nd Regional Meeting Of The PNPCA JCWG (January 15, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H. E. Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC and the Chairman of the PNPCA JCWG for Cambodia, has leading the Working Groups from Cambodia attending the 2nd Regional Meeting of the PNPCA JCWG, which presided over and leaded by Mr. Oudomsack Philavong, the Deputy Secretary General of LNMC and attended by the PNPCA JCWG from the MCs (Cambodia, Lao PDR., Thailand, and Viet Nam), the Specialists from MRC Secretariat, and the International Experts. The Meeting participants from Cambodia leaded by H. E. Mr. Kol Vathana, jointed by the Cambodian PNPCA JCWG Members from MOWRAM, MAFF, MME, MPWT, and MoE; PNPCA WG Members; and the National Consultants.

The overall objectives of the 2nd Meeting of the PNPCA JCWG is to review the second draft of the Technical Review Report (TRR) and provide further comments on this draft and on the proposed SNHPP in order to improve subsequent draft of the TRR.

The specific objectives of the 2nd Meeting of the PNPCA JCWG are to:

- Present and discuss the second draft of the TRR of the SNHPP;

- Present and discuss preliminary national review findings, outcome of the 1st round of National Information Sharing/Consultation Meeting;

- Present and discuss the feedbacks of the 1st Regional Stakeholder Information Sharing/Consultation Meeting;

- Discuss and agree on key dates for the 2nd round of the Information Sharing/National Consultation Meeting, 2nd Regional Stakeholder Forum, and 3rd PNPCA JCWG Meeting under the overall road map of the SNHPP PC Process; and

- Provide an opportunity for the MRCS Specialists and the International Experts to have interactions via VIEDO Conference with the PNPCA JCWG Members to improve the draft TRR.

The Meeting have listened, discussed, and commented on the four important agenda items, namely

1. The second draft of the TRR of the SNHPP;

2. The preliminary national review findings, outcome of the 1st round of National Information Sharing/Consultation Meeting;

3. The feedbacks of the 1st Regional Stakeholder Information Sharing/Consultation Meeting; and

4. The key dates for the 2nd round of the Information Sharing/National Consultation Meeting, 2nd Regional Stakeholder Forum, and 3rd PNPCA JCWG Meeting under the overall road map of the SNHPP PC Process.
