Regional Consultation Meeting on the Transboundary Adaptation Project on Flood and Drought Management (December 24, 2021)

Phnom Penh: Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS) had organized the Regional Consultation Meeting on the Transboundary Adaptation Project on Flood and Drought Management in LMB, which was presided over and leaded the discussion by Mr. Bounttien Sanaxonh, Director of Planning Division, MRCS and participated by the EGPDs from the four member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR., Thailand, and Viet Nam), relevant MRCS staff including climate change adaptation specialist, an international expert on the transboundary adaptation project, GIZ development advisors, and representatives of MRC Flood and Drought Management Center. The EGPD from Cambodia leaded by His. Excellency Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) and jointed by the relevant staff from CNMCS, and relevant staff from line agencies, including, MOWRAM, MAFF, MoE, MME, and TSA.

The Objectives of the Meeting are (1) Report on progress of the development of the transboundary adaptation project on the flood and drought management, and (2) Discuss and seek comments on the project proposal on flood and drought management in the LMB.
