Expert Group Meeting on Finalization of the Detailed Methodologies for 3 Regional Studies (December 27, 2021)

H.E Pich Dun, Advisor to Cambodia National Mekong Committee chaired the expert group on Finalization of the detailed methodologies for 3 regional studies and was attended by member countries, MRCS, and international consultant. Cambodia working group comes from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Public Work and Transport, Fishery Administration, Tonle Sap Authority, and Cambodia National Mekong Committee.

The objectives of the meeting are:

1. Discuss and feedback on finalizing the detailed methodologies for regional studies on

• Economic value of wetland ecosystem services (EVW)

• The extent of salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta (SIM),

• Condition of riverine, estuarine, and coastal habitats (RECH); and

2. Discuss on the workplan for implementing data collection in 2022 aiming for the preparation of the State of Basin Report (SoBR) 2023 edition.
