Delivery of Four Survey Boats under the MIWRMP 3 Project's to Support the Hydrological Management Activities (March 25, 2022)

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee and Director of the Mekong IWRMP Phase III, on behalf of His Excellency Lim Kean Hor, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Chairman of the CNMC , chaired the delivery of four survey boats under the MIWRM P3 project's to support the hydrological management activities to the Department of Water Resources and Meteorology  (PDOWRAM) of Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakkiri and Mondulkiri provinces.

On this occasion, H.E Te Navuth emphasized that the achievements of the project were achieved due to the support and encouragement of the leadership of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology and the CNMC for officials to implement the project better effective and more successful. The efforts of project implementation officers are reflected in the high level of responsibility, contribution to the project in implementing activities and created project achievements, building awareness, capacity building, human resources management, utilizing and maintenance of project achievements at the national and sub-national levels.

The handing over of the four boats to the 4 Provincial PDOWRAMs today is a evidence to the project's growing focus on strengthening the institution's capacity for project and post-project hydrological work. The use of boats for hydrological purposes, the collection of data from hydrological stations, the measurement of water level and river water in the river are more efficient, increasing the quality of work of the MOWRAM and DDOWRAM. At the same time, the use and maintenance of all equipment and materials is necessary.

Finally, Excellency Permanent Vice Chairman made the following recommendation to the said 4 PDOWRAMs:

1. Recognize what the project results are, the results of our work, both nationally and provincially, that we are involved in implementing, receiving and continuing to use and maintain.

2. Continue to make efforts to learn more through the project implementation report file

3. Continue to apply knowledge and work experience as a contribution to strengthen the institution and the human resources of the institution.

4. Take advantage of the project to continue to expand other achievements of the projects.
