1st Meeting of the Project Steering Committee (May 04, 2022)

Phnom Penh: Excellency So Sophort, Secretary ​General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee and Chairperson of the Mekong River Commission Joint Committee (MRC-JC) for 2022, as Member of the Steering Committee of the Triangular Cooperation Project on Sustainable Development in the Lower Mekong River Basin based on Water-Energy-Food Nexus, representing MRC attended the First Meeting of the Project Steering Committee through Video Conferencing. The Meeting reviewed and discussed: i) Progresses of Project Implementation made for the Fourth Quarter of 2021 and the First Quarter of 2022; ii) Challenges encountered during the course of Project Implementation; and iii) Project’s Planned Activities for the remaining Quarters of 2022.

Triangular Cooperation Project on Sustainable Development in the Lower Mekong River Basin based on Water-Energy-Food Nexus will be undertaken from 2021 till 2025 with total budget amounting USD 4 Million under the direct implementation arrangements by the UN Office for South-South Cooperation with the Implementing Partners consisting of the Policies, Science and Technology Institute of Korea, the Mekong Institute and the Mekong River Commission Secretariat.
