2nd National Working Group Meeting on the Draft Declaration and Program for the 4th MRC Summit (July 18-19, 2022)

Kampong Cham: The Cambodia National Mekong Committee held the 2nd National Working Group Meeting on the Draft Declaration and Program for the 4th MRC Summit,  and International Conference ; and the Draft Concept Note for the preparation of the Organizational  Development Plan, chaired by Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of the CNMC, and attended by representatives from the key relevant Ministries and Institutions, including Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment, Tonle Sap Authority and the key staff of CNMC General Secretariat.

The meeting was facilitated by a presentation and briefing on the progress of the said drafts by Mrs. Ros Sothea, representing the Working Group of MRC Secretariat via online meeting (Zoom).

The objectives of the meeting, are to review, discuss and collect comments and recommendations on the content and structure of the draft Declaration and the program of International Conference of the 4th MRC Summit in 2023, Lao PDR; and the draft of concept note for the preparation of MRC Organizational Development Plan for further discussions at the regional level, with Member Countries and the MRC Secretariat.
