Kampong Thom: His Excellency Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee has chaired and leaded the National Consultation Meeting on the final draft Guideline of the Fish Passage Barriers and Create Fish Friendly Irrigation Structures in the Lower Mekong Basin at the Kampong Thom Palace Hotel, Stung Sen City, Kampong Thom Province. The Meeting was participated by the representatives from line agencies; CNMC staff; and National Consultant on Fishway.

The Objectives of the Meeting is to discuss and agree at the national level on the final draft of the Guideline of the Fish Passage Barriers and Create Fish Friendly Irrigation Structures in the LMB.

As a result, the Meeting had discussed and provide comments and recommendations on the final draft of the Guideline of the Fish Passage Barriers and Create Fish Friendly Irrigation Structures in the LMB. The Comments and Recommendations received from the Meeting will compiled and sent to the MRC Secretariat for further consideration and discussion in the upcoming MRC Regional Consultation Meeting.
