Regional Meeting on the Progress of the Concept of Developing a Groundwater Model (October 27, 2022)

Phnom Penh: The Mekong River Commission held a regional meeting on the progress of the concept of developing a groundwater model with the participation of representatives of the four member countries, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, international experts and officials of the Secretariat of the Mekong River Commission. The Cambodian representatives included HE Hak Socheat, Deputy Secretary General and officers of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee Secretariat. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the progress made by the national and international consultants on the Conceptual Groundwater Model Development for the two Transboundary Aquifers in the Lower Mekong River Basin, to exchange knowledges and experiences on the groundwater usage and status in four members countries, and to discuss the next steps on improving the Conceptual Model....

Regional Working Session on MRC Application for GCF Accreditation (October 26, 2022)

Phnom Penh: The MRC Secretariat had organized the ​Regional Working Session on MRC Application for GCF Accreditation, presided over and chaired the discussion by Dr. Thim Ly, Chief Basin Planner, Planning Division, MRC Secretariat and participated by the EGPDs from the four member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR., Thailand, and Viet Nam), relevant MRCS staffs, and Expert from GCF Secretariat. The EGPD from Cambodia leaded by His Excellency Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) and jointed by the relevant staff from CNMCS, and relevant officials from line agencies, including, MoE. MOWRAM, MAFF, and NCDM.
