National Consultation Meeting to Review and Discuss the Draft Concept Note of Proactive Regional Planning (August 09, 2021)

Kampong Cham: H.E Mr. So Sophort Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a national consultation meeting to review and discuss the draft Concept note of Proactive Regional Planning to Formulate an Adaptive Basin Plan that Enhances Optimal and Sustainable Development of Water and Related Sectors at the Phnom Pros Hotel in Kampong Cham Province, with the participation of officials representing the relevant ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Planning, Council for the Development of Cambodia, Tonle Sap Authority, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and some officials from the CNMCS.

The objective of the meeting is to (1) Discuss and comments on the draft concept note of the Proactive Regional Planning to Formulate an Adaptive Basin Plan that Enhances Optimal and Sustainable Development of Water and Related Sectors (2) Review existing river basin development planning mechanisms to participate in the planning and implementation process and (3) Collect input from Ministries and institutions involved in the implementation of this planning and send to MRC.
