Phnom Penh: H.E So Soport Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee chaired national consultation workshop on MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme and by requesting participation from key line agencies and other stakeholders  such as Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Public Work and Transport, Tonle Sap authority, Fishery Administration, Royal University of Phnom Penh, COMPED organization and Cambodia National Mekong Committee.

The Objective of the meeting:

1.  Discuss on the 2nd draft of Detailed Methodology of the MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme;

2.  Discuss on the draft Proposal for the Piloting of Detailed Protocol of the MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme; and

3.  Seek agreement on the piloting location(s) of the Detailed Protocol of the MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme.
