Phnom Penh: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee(CNMC), led the Cambodia’s Working Group from most relevant line ministries to attend the 8th Meeting of Expert Group on Data, Modeling and Forecasting to review and agree upon the revised final proposal of the Joint study on “the Changing Pattern of Hydrological Conditions of the Lancang-Mekong River Basin and Adaption Strategies”; and  to discuss a development of Mekong Reservoir Assessment Tool (Mekong-RAT), including selection of reservoirs, and capacity building program.

The Meeting was organized via Video Conference under the chairmanship of Ms. Nguyen Hong Phuong, Deputy Director General of the Viet Nam National Mekong Committee, with the participation of working groups of MRC member countries including Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam under Technical Coordination of Technical Support Division of the MRC Secretariat from Vientiane, Lao PDR.
