Phnom Penh: H.E Mr. Watt Botkosal, ​Deputy ​Secretary ​General of ​Cambodia National Mekong ​Committee (CNMC), ​chaired the 9th ​Regional ​Meeting of the MRC Expert Group on Basin Planning via the video conference system to complete the concept Note and TOR for Proactive Regional Planning.  The meeting was attended by representatives of MRC member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam), MRCS officials, national and international experts, and was facilitated by the Mekong River Commission Secretariat.  Separately, officials from Cambodia include from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Mines and Energy) and officials from the CNMC.

The meeting was held to discuss and agree on feedback for all issues raised by member countries and agreed to finalize the concept note and TOR for Proactive Regional Planning to be submitted for review and have no-objection of the MRC Joint Committee and the work plan to continue on the work of recruitment of consulting Firm.
