Third Steering Committee Meeting for the Joint Project of Flood and Drought Management on the Cambodia-Thailand Border (August 17, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E Mr. Ponh Sachchak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, chaired the third Steering Committee meeting for the Joint Project of Flood and Drought Management on the Cambodia-Thailand border, with the participation from the Thai side, officials from relevant ministries and institutions (MOWRAM, MAFF, MRD,   MPWT and NCDM), officials from ICEM, GIZ, MRCS, national experts, international experts, and officials from the CNMC.

The objective of the meeting is to (1) discuss the 9C-9T Basin Atlas and its use to identify strategic opportunities for flood and drought resilience (2) discuss the master plan for flood and drought management at 9C and 9T (3) discuss progress in capacity building programs and (4) review the work plan for the next quarter.
