Inspect the Location to Review and Select for Construction of New Stations for Monitoring the State of Drought (August 16-22, 2021)

Mr. Chheang Hong, National Coordinator for TD of IKM Dept. and Mr. Sin Samnang, Director of PHRD Dept. of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, led and coordinate a Drought team to inspect the location in Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Kampong Thom, Svay Rieng and Kandal to review and select for construction of new stations for monitoring the state of drought in the Mekong River Basin of Cambodia. The mission was attended by 06 National and Regional experts from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology and the MRC Secretariat.

The Mission’s objective is to conduct the field survey looking at appropriate sites for generating options to meet the set criteria and practical requirements for construction of new stations for monitoring state of drought in the Mekong River Basin of Cambodia.
