4th National Working Group Meeting and Training on Flood and Drought Management (September 21-22, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E Mr. Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General and H.E Mr. Pic Dun Advisor of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, chaired the 4th National Working Group Meeting and Training on Flood and Drought Management in the Cambodia-Thailand border area with the participation of officials from relevant Ministries and institutions, including MOWRAM, MAFF, MOP, MRD, TSA, MPWT, NCDM, PDOWRAM(Banteay Meanchey, Battambang and Pailin), Officials from ICEM, GIZ, MRCS, national experts, international experts and Officials from CNMC.

The objective of the meeting and training is to (1) discuss the master plan and joint action plan on flood and drought management project in the Cambodian-Thailand border area, (2) discuss the river basin atlas and potential areas along the border, (3) discuss the project location to implement as well as solve joint problems as stated in the river basin atlas, (4) discuss the work plan until the end of 2021 and (5) Exchange information and knowledge to establish a technical basis for increasing resilience of flood and drought in sub-basin 9C and 9T.
