Regional Meeting on the Socio-Economic Database and Vulnerability and Gender Survey (December 07, 2021)

Phnom Penh: HE Watt Botkosal, Deputy Secretary ​General of the ​Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), led a national working group from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fishery, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mine and Energy and officials from the CNMC, attend regional meetings via video system on the Socio-Economic Database and Vulnerability and Gender Survey conducted by the Mekong River Commission. The meeting was attended by member countries of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, officers of the Secretariat of the Mekong River Commission and International Expertise.

The purpose of this meeting are:

1. Review the detailed structure, functions and interface of the socio-economic database technical platform;

2. Discuss the main findings and recommendations of the gender and vulnerability review; and

3. Identify ways forward for the socio-economic database and gender and vulnerability monitoring to guide further work in 2022.
