Workshop on the Implementation of MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme

August 28, 2023, His Excellency Sok Khom, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, chaired National Dissemination Workshop on the Implementation of MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme with participation from relevant line agencies including MOWRAM, Fisheries Administration, Tonle Sap Authorities, CNMC General Secretariat and MRCS specialist. 

The Workshop’s objectives are: 1.  to present the overview of MRC Riverine Microplastic Monitoring Protocol; 2.  to rais awareness on Implementation of MRC Riverine Plastic Monitoring Programme by using Tow-net method for macro and microplastic in field and laboratory; and 3.  to present the integration plan of RPM to existing environment monitoring programme especial water quality monitoring.
