Phnom Penh: His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Cambodia National Committee (CNMC), high representative of H.E Mr. Lim Kean Hor, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Chairman of CNMC; chaired the meeting of the CNMC Secretariat to review the results of 2020 and the strategic direction for 2021, with participation of His Excellency Secretary General, Deputies Secretary General, Advisors, directors and deputies director of 6 departments and secretariat and officials of the CNMC Secretariat.

Firstly, H.E Chair of the meeting stated that the meeting was to review and discuss the implementation of work plan in 2020, which the units under the Secretariat have achieved major achievements and challenges having been jointly addressed and preparation of work plan for 2021 as well.

The meeting is well familiar with the report of H.E. Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of CNMC and of the report of 6 departments and secretariat, including (1) the operation and general management of CNMC Secretariat, (2) the progress of work and achievements achieved within the framework of MRC cooperation and related partners, including the preparation of the National Strategic Plan for 2021-2025 and the National Indicative Plan for 2021-2025 and (3) Work achievement of the units under the CNMC Secretariat in 2020 and work plan in 2021.

Finally, His Excellency Chairman of the Meeting expressed his appreciation for the efforts to implement the work of Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen in 2020 and requested all to continue to pay more attention to the efforts and to strengthen capacity building of officials in order to achieve CNMC’s strategic direction and work plan in 2021 and more recent significant achievements for CNMC to be a main leading coordinating body for national interests and to be a firm national and regional partnerships for a sustainable management and development of the Mekong River Basin.
