National Training Workshop on Drought Monitoring and Forecasting Tools (February 24-25, 2022)

H.E So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, chaired a National Training Workshop on Drought Monitoring and Forecasting Tools with  participation of technical officials from relevant ministries and institutions, the MRC Secretariat’ team and the CNMC General Secretariat.

The Workshop’s objectives are: 1. To transfer the knowledge to the national relevant ministries and agencies and provide opportunity to access information and tools; 2. To provide presentation, discussion, and practice on analysed drought conditions for weekly and monthly monitoring and forecasting; and 3. To enhance understanding and interpretation of drought early warning, analyse the drought condition, and operate the early warning system at national level.
