Regional Consultation Meeting on Sustainable Groundwater Use Management in Agriculture (March 29, 2022)

Phnom Penh: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC, led a Cambodian working group from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Environment, Tonle Sap Authority and the Officials from CNMCS, attended the Regional Consultation Meeting on Sustainable Groundwater Use Management in Agriculture for phase 3 through VDO conference.   There are MRC member countries (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam) and officials from MRCS participated in this meeting.

The objective of the meeting is: (1) Present and discuss the final draft of TORs of International and National consultants, the draft work plan and draft outlines for the Transboundary Aquifer Reports and regional report for the SGUMA – Phase 3, and (2) discuss the irrigation technique/technology to be selected for developing and drafting the structure of the manuals.
