National Training Workshop on Flood Forecasting and Flash Flood Guidance Operation (January 31, 2023)
Kampong Cham: H.E Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a National Training Workshop on Flood Forecasting and Flash Flood Guidance Operation with participation of technical representatives of relevant ministries, institutions including MORWAM, MPWT and provincial departments, experts team of the MRC Secretariat and the CNMC General Secretariat. The Workshop’s objectives are: (1) to refresh participants on the fundamentals of the MRC-FEWS Technical on routing operation, data input, rainfall satellite, modelling running, etc.; (2) to refresh participants on the fundamentals of the MRC-FFGS technical exchange on experience operation of the system, analysis of the MRC-FFGS’s product; and (3) to understand the models in the MRC-FFGS products to support National flood forecasters....

7th Inter-Ministerial Commission Meeting to Discuss, Exchange, and Develop Practical Action Plan (January 30, 2023)  Phnom Penh: The “Inter-Ministerial Commission to Resolve the Collapse of the Bassac-Hau Giang River bank and Chrey Thom-Binh Gi Canal bank along the Cambodia-Vietnam Border in Kandal Province” had organized its 7th Meeting to discuss, exchange, and develop practical action plan for the Phase II implementation on the embankment of the Bassac-Hau Giang River and Chrey Thom-Binh Gi Canal river bank and seeking key inputs to develop basis for comprehensive preparation for the upcoming negotiation with the Vietnam National Working Group in order have the proactive, accountable, and sustainable resolution of the issues.
