Workshop to Disseminate the Basin Development Strategy, 2021-2030 and the Strategic Plan, 2021-2025 (December 09- 10, 2021)

Kampong Cham: Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) organized a Workshop to disseminate the Basin Development Strategy, 2021-2030 and the Strategic Plan, 2021-2025 of the Mekong River Commission (MRC) to relevant officials involved the Mekong Affairs from its line Ministries and Agencies and the Workshop was chaired by Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of CNMC. The main purpose of this Workshop is to disseminate the two Strategic Documents approved by the MRC Council in 2020 and to provide a platform to discuss jointly aiming at enhancing the effectiveness in implementing the Basin Development Strategy and Strategic Plan of MRC for the Basin management and the development, utilization and conservation of Mekong’ shared resources in the sustainable manner. Environment Management Expert Group Meeting on Preparation of New or Updated Environmental Asset Management Plans (December 09, 2021)

H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee chaired and lead the expert group on environment management on Preparation of new or updated environmental asset management plans and was attended by member countries, MRCS, and international consultant. Cambodia working group comes from Ministry of Environment, Fishery Administration, Tonle Sap Authority, and Cambodia National Mekong Committee. The objectives of the meeting are: 1. Discuss and feedback on the proposed approach and methodology for preparing new or updated management plans for priority environmental assets of regional importance and 2.
