The January Meeting To Review The Internal Work Progress Of The CNMC (February 16, 2021)

Phnom Penh: On, H.E. Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired the January Meeting to review the internal work progress of the CNMC General Secretariat with participation of management of the General Secretariat, advisors, Directors, Deputy Directors of Departments and Secretary and all Officials under the Departments and Secretariat. The Meeting is well aware of progress reports from the six Departments and Secretariat on the works being implemented in January and follow-up, and also exchanged views on the coordination and challenges. The Meeting also discussed further to finalize the 2020 report and the work plan for 2021 of CNMC as well as share the updated hydrological situation in the Lower Mekong Basin and the Three Rivers(3S)....

Meeting On Providing Data And Scope Of Project Implementation (February 09, 2021)

Phnom Penh: Mr. Suos Bunthan, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department of CNMC, attended a Meeting on providing data and scope of project implementation in the provinces of Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kampong Cham, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville by FAO. The Meeting was chaired by HE Chan Sinath, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology with attendance of 34 participants representing relevant Departments under the Ministry. The Meeting exchanged views on Groundwater Use in Cambodia, with the main focus on the Groundwater Use in Svay Rieng and Prey Veng provinces....

Launching Of Report On “Cambodia’s Updated Nationally Determined Contribution To Implement The United Nations” (February 08, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee and Mr. Kim Seiha, Deputy Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department of CNMC, participated in the Launching of Report on “Cambodia’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution to implement the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change” which was held at the Meeting Hall of the Ministry of Environment. The Launching was presided over by H.E Say Sam Al, Minister of Environment and Chairman of the National Council for the Sustainable Development and attended by many participants, representing the relevant Ministries and Institutions, National and International Organizations, Development Partners, Academia and Private Sectors.
