52nd MRC JC and 25th MRC Dialogue Partners Meetings (September 16-17, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee and Member of the Mekong River Commission Joint Committee (MRC JC) for Cambodia led the Cambodia delegate composed of key officials representing Line Ministries, including Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Mines and Energy and key Officials of CNMC General Secretariat to participate in the 52nd  MRC JC and 25th  MRC Dialogue Partners Meetings via Video Conference from the MRC Secretariat in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The Meetings were attended by 83 Officials come from the MRC JC Member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam), Delegates of MRC Dialogue Partners (China, Myanmar) and the MRC Secretariat. National Consultation Meeting on Proposed Regional Cooperation Programme (September 15, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee chaired national consultation meeting on Proposed Regional Cooperation Programme to help implementation the BDS 2021-2030 and by requesting participation from key line agencies and other stakeholders  such as Ministry of Environment, Tonle Sap Authority, Fishery Administration, National Focal Point of the Global Environment Facility, National Designated Authority for the Green Climate Fund and Cambodia National Mekong Committee. Kampong Cham: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a National Training Workshop on Data Collection, Discharge Measurement and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of HYCOS (hydrological) stations with participation of technical staff and experts from the Department of Hydrology and River Works of Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, stations observers from provinces along the Mekong River and major tributaries, experts from the Mekong River Commission Secretariat and the CNMC General Secretariat.
