National Consultation Meeting On The Guideline Of Irrigation In The Lower Mekong Basin (June 04, 2021)

Kampong Thom: His Excellency Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) has chaired and leaded the National Consultation Meeting on the Guideline of irrigation in the Lower Mekong Basin at the Kampong Thom Palace Hotel, Stung Sen City, Kampong Thom Province. The Meeting was participated by the representatives from MORAM; MAFF; MRD and CNMC staff. The meeting has discussed and provide some suggestions for improving the draft irrigation guidelines, focusing on four points: (1) Necessary action for irrigation system (2) techniques to overcome all issues in the irrigation system (3) Use Technologies and (4) Recommendations. All comments will be sent to the MRC to update this guideline for effectiveness and reliability. After the revision of the technical guidelines of the irrigation system, will organize a regional meeting, and then field visit to the irrigation system in Japan, for the time will confirm later....

Consultation Meeting On The Draft Swiss Cooperation Program In The Mekong Region For 2022-2025 (June 3, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E Te Navuth, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) and Mr. Sous Bunthon, Director of Department of Planning and International Cooperation participated in the Consultation Meeting on the draft Swiss Cooperation Program in the Mekong Region for 2022-2025. The Meeting was chaired by His Excellency Chheang Yanara, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Secretary General of the Committee on Rehabilitation and Development of Cambodia of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), with the participation of 20 ministries and institutions. The Swiss side is led by Mr. Markus Burley, Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and 60 experts of SDC. The Meeting discussed three topics: 1-Governance and public participation, 2-Climate change and natural resource management, and 3- Integration, economic development....
