Regional Meeting on The Online Shared Vision Planning (SVP) Tool (June 11, 2021)

Phnom Penh: HE Watt Botkosal, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC, led a national working group from Cambodia, A total of 12 officials ,four officials from CNMC, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Mines and Energy attended the regional meeting through Video conference on the online Shared Vision Planning (SVP) tool prepared by the Mekong River Commission Secretariat. The meeting receives a presentation on three tools: (1) Technical too (2) Decision Maker tool (3) General Public tool. The meeting reviewed the three tools and provided feedback on the non-functional aspects of the data from the Council study and the use of tools to assess basin status reports, support the implementation of river basin development strategies and national indicative plan. The next step will be a regional and national workshop in August 2021....

MRC Regional Consultation Meeting on The Revised Draft “Report on Experiences and Opportunities (June 10, 2021)

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) has leaded the Cambodian Inter-ministerial Working Group attended the MRC Regional Consultation Meeting on the Revised draft “Report on experiences and opportunities for coordinated operating rules and cooperation arrangements on dam operations”. The members of the Meeting include the Inter-ministerial Working Groups from the four MRC Member Countries, staff of the Planning Division of the MRC Secretariat, and the International Consultant. The Meeting was presided over and chaired by Dr. Ah Pich Hatda, the CEO of the MRC Secretariat. The Cambodian Inter-ministerial Working Group headed by His Excellency Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC and participated by the representatives from MOWRAM, MIME, MAFF, MPWT, and CNMCS PNPCA Working Group members.
