H.E So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, chaired a National Training Workshop on Drought Monitoring and Forecasting Tools with participation of technical officials from relevant ministries and institutions, the MRC Secretariat’ team and the CNMC General Secretariat. The Workshop’s objectives are: 1. To transfer the knowledge to the national relevant ministries and agencies and provide opportunity to access information and tools; 2. To provide presentation, discussion, and practice on analysed drought conditions for weekly and monthly monitoring and forecasting; and 3. Consultative Meeting on the Establishment of the Provincial Committee for River Basin Management (February 22-23, 2022)  Kampong Cham: The Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) held a consultative meeting on the establishment of the Provincial Committee for River Basin Management of the Sekong River Basin, Sesan - Sre Pok River Basin and the four Prek (4P) Basin in the northeastern region of Cambodia under the Mekong Integrated Water Resources Management Project Phase 3 (MIWRMP3), funded by the World Bank in Kampong Cham City. His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice President of CNMC and MIWRMP3 Project Director, chaired the meeting and joined by HE Pich Veasna, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology. And Deputy Governor of Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri provinces.
