His Excellency So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee chaired the dissemination workshop on methodology for monitoring of riverine plastic pollution in LMB of MRC and the result of the dry season piloting and with the participation from relevant line agencies such as Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Fisheries Administration, Tonle Sap Authority, Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Cambodia National Mekong Committee. The objectives of the workshop are: 1. To raise awareness on the MRC RPM protocols for the long-term and cost-effective monitoring of riverine plastic monitoring protocols in the LMB; and 2. Phnom Penh: Mekong River ​Commission Secretariat (MRCS) had organized the Regional Consultation Meeting on “Detailed scope of two pilot projects to implement the report on experiences and opportunities for coordinated operating mechanisms and cooperation arrangements on dam operations”, which presided over and leaded the discussion by by Mr. Bounttien Sanaxonh, Director of Planning Division, MRCS and participated by the Government Officials from relevant LAs of the four member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR., Thailand, and Viet Nam), relevant MRCS staff, and International Consultant.
