11th Meeting of Expert Group on Data, Modelling and Forecasting (March 23, 2022)

Phnom Penh: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy ​Secretary ​General of ​Cambodia ​National ​Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired the 11th Meeting of Expert Group on Data, Modelling and Forecasting (EGDMF) through Video Conference focusing on the Joint Study on the Changing Pattern of Hydrological Conditions in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin and Adaptation Strategies. The Meeting was facilitated by Director of Technical Support Division of the MRC Secretariat with participation of National Technical Working Groups and National Consultants of Member Countries, the MRC Secretariat’s team and the LMC Water Center. Kampong Thom: H.E Mr. Te Navuth, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a national consultation meeting on the concept note, ToR and next step on Implementing of the Mekong River Commission Proactive Regional Planning. The participants in this meeting from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Planning, National Committee for Disaster Management, and some officials from the CNMCS. Kampong Cham: The Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) held a National Consultation Meeting on the Revision and Update of the Mekong River Commission (MRC) Operational Manuals, chaired by His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent -Vice Chairman of CNMC through direct participation of the Key staff of the General Secretariat of the CNMC and relevant officials from the relevant ministries and institutions and with the Administration Division Working Group of MRC Secretariat via Video conference. Phnom Penh: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), led Cambodia’s Working Group to attend a Regional Gathering Workshop for Flood and Drought Forecasters, Data Senders; Back-To-Back with Consultation Meeting on Methodology and Roadmap for Medium and Long-ranges Forecasting/Outlook. Cambodia’s Working Group Members are representatives of Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and the CNMC General Secretariat.
