Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee, chaired a meeting to discuss the preparation of the National Indicative Plan for 2021-2025, which was attended by Deputy Secretary General, Advisor, Directors and Deputy Directors of Departments and National Experts from Cambodia Water Partnership and Vice Chairman of Cambodia Water Partnership. The meeting is familiar with and discussed project’s concept note on medium and long-term flood management important for Cambodia's floodplains, application for project budget to the Green Climate Fund and for consultation with key ministries and institutions involved in the designated national project to seek support from those relevant ministries and institutions for this national project and their involvement from project design to implementation....

Training Workshop On The Use Of Decision Support System DSS (January 11-13, 2021)

Kep City: HE Watt Botkosal, Deputy Secretary General of  Cambodia National Mekong Committee  (CNMC) and Component 2 Manager of the MIWRMP3 Project, chaired the Training Workshop through a video conference on the use of decision support system (DSS) and the results of the assessment of water resources in the three river basins (Sekong, Sesan and Srepok) and the 4P located in Northeast region of the country. The workshop was attended by project implementation officers from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology and the General Secretariat of CNMC, Project Working Group, and Technical Advisory Group, local and international DHI Company. The training workshop was conducted by listening to presentations from national and international experts on the status of water resources in the river basin, presenting the DSS tool to support the river basin planning process and local river basin planning components and the process of discussing  the river basin planning issues...

Phnom Penh: MRC Secretariat had organized the Regional Consultation Meeting on the final draft Guideline to prioritizing Fish Passage Barriers and Creating Fish Friendly Irrigation Structures in the Lower Mekong Basin, via VIDEO Conference. The 2nd National Working Group Meeting And Training Course On Flood And Drought Management (January 05-06, 2021)

Phnom Penh: H.E. Mr. Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired the 2nd National Working Group Meeting and Training Course on Flood and Drought Management in Cambodia-Thai Border Area with participation of 32 representatives from relevant ministries and institutions, ICEM, GIZ, MRC Secretariat, National expert and International consultant and CNMC Secretariat. As a result, the Meeting reviewed the task to support a preparation of the river basin map, and recommended to have a detailed study of waterway maps in Banteay Meanchey, Battambang and Pailin provinces in Cambodia and proposing a short, medium and long term river basin plan, specifying scope, duration of work and budget.
