EGEM Meeting on the Updated Joint Environmental Monitoring Programme (April 01, 2022)

Cambodia working group comes from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Fisheries Administration, Tonle Sap Authorities and Cambodia National Mekong Committee participated in EGEM meeting on the updated Joint Environmental Monitoring Programme and was attended by member countries, MRCS, representatives of Hydropower project developers from Xayaburi, Dong Sahong, Pak Beng, Pak Lay, Luang Prabang, Sanakham and MRCS-JEM/Core River Monitoring Network team. The objectives of the meeting are: 1. Review and discuss on the updated Joint Environmental Monitoring Programme; and 2. Seek agreement on the updated version of JEM programme that will be integrated into the new redesign of the CRMN project....

National Working Session to Discuss the Draft Concept Note for the 4th MRC Summit (March 31, 2022)

Kampong Cham: Excellency So Sophort, Secretary General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), led a national working session to discuss the draft Concept Note for the 4th MRC Summit and International Conference in 2023, Lao PDR. The meeting was attended by officials from relevant ministries, institutions and key staff of the CNMC General Secretariat. The objective of the meeting was to inform and discuss the first draft of Concept Note, including: Theme, objectives, programmes, expected outputs of the Summit and the Program of International Conference to be Held together in 2023, Lao PDR. As a result, the meeting reviewed and provided inputs to the draft concept note for further revision by the MRC Secretariat and then to be further consulted by the MRC Joint Committee Working Group to be scheduled at the end of April 2022....

Online Forum on the Decision Support System Tool (March 28-29, 2022)

Phnom Penh: Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), an Online Forum was held on the Decision Support System Tool developed under the Mekong Integrated Water Resources Management Project Phase II. 3 (MIWRMP3) Component 2 on Water Resources Management in the Northeast of Cambodia. His Excellency Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee and Director of MIWRMP3 Project, chaired the Forum, participated by project implementation officers (national and sub-national), representatives of relevant ministries, institutions, educational institutions, NGOs, and representatives of development partners, including the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of CNMC, led the colleagues from relevant specialized Departments of CNMC General Secretariat for a Meeting with Cambodia Education and Waste Management Organization on Cleaning Plastic Waste along Mekong River.
