Gathering Workshop for Flood and Drought Forecasters and Data Senders (November 16, 2021)

Phnom Penh: Mr. Chheang Hong, Director of Information and Knowledge Management Department, Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), led the Technical Working Group of Cambodia to attend the Gathering Workshop for Flood and Drought Forecasters and Data Senders via Video Conference. The Workshop was facilitated by the MRC Secretariat and Regional Flood and Drought Management Center team with participation of technical experts and professionals from member countries. There are 12 Cambodian representatives from MOWRAM including Department of Hydrology and River Works, Department of Meteorology and Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, and from Information and Knowledge Management Department of the CNMC General Secretariat. Phnom Penh: The Mekong River ​​​​​​Commission ​Secretariat ​organized a regional meeting to review the results of a pilot study on sustainable agriculture groundwater use management. The participants from Cambodia are the Ministry of​ Water Resources​ and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Tonle Sap Authority, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Rural Development, and officials from the CNMC (Director, Deputy Director, and Officials).
