National Working Session on Transboundary Flood and Drought Management between Cambodia and Thailand (November 15, 2021)
Kampong Cham: H.E Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a national working session on transboundary flood and drought management between Cambodia and Thailand. There are participants from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Rural Development, National Committee for Disaster Management and officials from the CNMCS (Deputy Secretary General, Director, Deputy Director and some Officials. Inter-Ministerial Meeting to Review and Discuss the Contents of the Draft Agreed Minutes of the 19th Meeting of the Cambodia-Vietnam (November 15, 2021)
Phnom Penh: HE Watt Botkosal, Deputy Secretary-General of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee, and Mr. Kim Seiha, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and International Cooperation of CNMC, participated in an inter-ministerial meeting to review and discuss the contents of the draft Agreed Minutes of the 19th Meeting of the Cambodia-Vietnam Joint Commission for Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation. In attendance were representatives from 27 Ministries and institutions, including Lok Chumteav Dr. Soeung Rath Chavy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who presided over the Meeting. Mission Team of the MIWRMP3 to Inspected the Construction Status of 28 Hydrological-Meteorological Stations (November 08-13, 2021)
The Mission Team will be led by H.E Te Navuth, Permanent Vice-Chairman of the Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) and Director of the Mekong Integrated Water Resources Management Project Phase 3 (MIWRMP3). The Mission Team consists of the relevant departments and the Department of Water Resources and Meteorology of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, the technical advisory group of DHI and the working group of the project from the CNMC General Secretariat. The Mission Team inspected the construction status of 28 hydrological-meteorological stations under the MIWRMP 3, component 2, including 10 in Stung Treng, 7 in Ratanakkiri, 6 in Mondulkiri and 5 in Kratie Province. As a result, the Mission Team assessed the construction progress of the stations, seeing that most of them is completed in construction, only four stations still remain to be continued due to the Covid-19 pandemics, and the water level make delayed the construction of some stations, howev...
