MRC Expert Group Meeting for Basin Planning (November 08, 2021)

Phnom Penh: Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS) had organized the Meeting of the ​MRC Expert Group for Basin Planning to Finalise the Questionnaires for the Exploration of the Possible Establishment of a Financing Mechanism (Mekong Fund), which presided over and leaded the discussion by Mr. Phonepaseuth Phouliphnah, Acting Secretary General of LNMCS and alternate Joint Committee Member of the MRC for Lao PDR. and co-chaired by Mr. Bounttien Sanaxonh, Director of Planning Division, MRCS and participated by the EGPDs from the four member countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR., Thailand, and Viet Nam), relevant MRCS staff, and International Consultant. The EGPD from Cambodia leaded by His. Regional Working Session on Final Draft Version of the Updated Sustainable Hydropower Development Strategy (November 08, 2021)

H.E Kol Vathana Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee led officials from Cambodia participated in Regional Working Session on final draft version of the Updated Sustainable Hydropower Development Strategy 2021 for the Lower Mekong Basin (SHDS 2021) and was attended by Member Countries and MRCS. Cambodia working group comes from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Mine and Energy, Electricity Authority of Cambodia, Electricity of Cambodia, Fishery Administration, and Cambodia National Mekong Committee. 2nd National Consultation Meeting on the Proposed Sanakham Hydropower Project (November 04, 2021)

Kampong Cham: Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) had organized the 2nd National Consultation Meeting on the proposed Sanakham Hydropower Project (SNHPP), which was presided over and leaded the discussion by His Excellency Mr. Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of CNMC. Phnom Penh: H.E Long Saravuth, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC led the Cambodian Expert Group from Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Public Works and Transport and CNMC General Secretariat to attend the 10th Meeting of Expert Group on Data, Modeling and Forecasting on finalizing the design concept of water use monitoring system for the Lower Mekong Basin.
