Consultative Workshop to Identify Priority Activities to Strengthen the Implementation of the Integrated Water Resources (November 12, 2021)
Phnom Penh: the Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) organized a consultative workshop to identify priority activities to strengthen the implementation of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in Cambodia, aiming at achieving the goal of SDG6.5.1 by 2030. The workshop was presided over by His Excellency Mr. Te Navuth, Permanent Vice Chairman of the CNMC. National Meeting to Disseminate the Results of the Study on Social Impact Monitoring and Vulnerability Assessment (November 12, 2021)
Kampong Cham: H.E Mr. So Sophort, Secretary General of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC), chaired a national meeting to disseminate the results of the study on Social Impact Monitoring and Vulnerability Assessment (SIMVA) 2018 at Phnom Pros Hotel, Kampong Cham Province. There are participants from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Planning, Tonle Sap Authority, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and officials from the CNMC (Director, Deputy Director and Officials from the Department of Planning and International Cooperation, a total of 19 participants. National Working Session on Draft Report on Rapid Assessment of Transboundary Impact (November 12, 2021)
Phnom Penh: Cambodia National Mekong Committee had conducted a National Working Session on Draft Report on Rapid Assessment of Transboundary Impact Caused by Rapid Water Fluctuation Downstream of Sanakham Hydropower Project (SNHPP), under the Chairmanship and leading the discussion by H. E. Mr. Kol Vathana, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC, which participated by the Members of the PNPCA JCWG from MOWRAM, MoE, MAFF, MME, MPWT; CNMC PNPCA WG, and National Consultants. Regional Consultation Meeting on Harmonization of Rule and Regulations about Vessel Safety, Traffic Safety (November 11, 2021)
Phnom Penh: H.E Mr. Watt Botkosal, Deputy Secretary General of CNMC, led a Cambodian working group consisting of officials from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and officials of The General Secretariat of CNMC participated in the Regional Consultation Meeting on Harmonization of Rule and Regulations about Vessel Safety, Traffic Safety and Passenger Protection on the Mekong River System between Cambodia and Vietnam via Video Conference. The meeting was coordinated by the MRCS and was attended by a total of 28 working groups from Cambodia and Vietnam and MRC Secretariat.
